Oro sprecato.

(San Teodoro, Sardegna. Estate 2012)
A dormire.

Sometimes you can’t wait to have some calm in the house, to stay alone. Without worrying if they turn on the music to an high volume while you are having to work. Or if they inaugurate the “week of the cakes” just while you had been decided to go on a diet.. well in these last weeks it has happened to me: my house has practically been empty. Except for the dog that, because of bad weather, remained in the house. To sleep.
I have to admit that, at the beginning, it has been pleasant  that feeling of loneliness and endless silence. But it hasn't lasted too much, because, even if we don’t understand it  immediately, that break, also to exchange a simple “what are you doing?”, distracted you for a few minutes from your work.
It was pleasant to prepare a tasty dinner for your family, rather than to stuff a sad sandwich for ourselves. And immediately after, become absorbed in our occupations. Or almost pleasant to be angry because the tv had always turned on on programs that you don’t bear.
But only when your house is empty, you are wrap by that veil of melancholy that it brings with new worries. It's true, the silence serves to makes you reflect on problems, but occasionally  you didn’t even think about that problem first. This is not fear to stay alone and judge yourself, but it's simply a desire to stay with others. Desire to talk to a friend. Desire to share a feelings that, for a long time, fills your mind. Desire to make our opinions appreciated. Desire of your father's embrace, that was wanted for a long time. Simply desire to smile and to live abundantly everything the destiny or who for him, has programmed for us.
